Classical Chinese caligraphy on this long, handmade paper scroll. Wonderful details and dramatic size make this scroll an impressive piece of art. Characters say "Rain stops. Clouds part. White Dragon appears". 20" wide and 8 feet long. Don't get a cheap immitation in Chinatown - this quality scroll will last a lifetime (and more).

Vintage milk glass lampshade for standing/torch lamps. Hard to find size - slightly more flared at the top than most with 10" across the top and 9" diameter around the base. Perfect condition with grid-like (waffle) pressed design all over. Perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Clean and ready to use.

Handpainted Mogul portait of a woman - back side is Urdu (?) and this is a page from a very old book. I purchased this page in Rajastan India and framed it so either side can be displayed. It is a timeless, beautiful piece sure to add a touch of the exotic to any decor. 12" by 15".

The Japanese use printed cloth to wrap presents. This cloth is handmade in the classic style with an image of jumping carp. Traditional and lovely I have made it suitable for hanging on a wall by slipping 2 peices of metal on the top and bottom - easy to remove without damage if you want to use it for something else. Direct from Japan and this design is not sold in N. America. A generous 20" by 20" square.
